A TYPICAL DAY

Each day is different. While some days are spent doing a lot of administrative work, this internship is never just “pushing paper.” Everything done at Youth Combine is high responsibility work. Being such a young organization, everything the interns do has a serious impact on Youth Combine. Whether the intern is applying for grants, doing community outreach blog posts, developing plans for new programs, creating new member retention systems, or documenting fitness data, every decision made plays a large role in the development of Youth Combine.

Interns are involved in high-level decisions such as which programs should be cut and which should be expanded, choosing expansion locations, and designing three-year strategic plans. Monday through Thursday also includes being on the field from 4:00 – 5:30 either being a head coach at the fitness program or supervising all of the other volunteers. Our interns love the time spent on the field because they get to interact with and impact our young members.

All of the work we do at Youth Combine is exciting and stimulating. The Youth Combine office is a fun atmosphere where a lot of meaningful work is done. You work as a team with the Executive Director and other interns.
